⚡ Construction & Renovation Electrical

The Electricians Powering
Your Project

From new builds and DA-approved extensions to kitchen and bathroom renos, Saints Electrical works alongside builders, project managers, and homeowners across Sydney — on schedule and compliant from rough-in to certificate.

We Fit Into Your Build

Whether you're project-managing your own renovation or coordinating a team of tradies, we plug in seamlessly and keep the job moving.

🏗️

Builders & Project Managers

We work to your programme. Rough-in, fit-off, and certification timed around your build sequence — no chasing, no surprises.

🏡

Homeowner-Led Renovations

No builder? No problem. We help homeowners navigate scope, compliance, and staging so the electrical doesn't become the bottleneck.

🔨

Kitchen & Bathroom Specialists

Coordinating with your cabinetmaker, plumber, and tiler? We've done it many times. We'll align our schedule to avoid holding up your fit-out.

🏢

Developers & Investors

Running a DA-approved duplex or unit renovation? We can handle the electrical across multiple dwellings and produce the compliance paperwork you need at settlement.

Electrical Services for Every Stage of a Build

From planning through to final inspection, here's where we add value on construction and renovation projects.

🏠 New Homes

Full electrical installation for new residential builds — from rough-in wiring and switchboard to fit-off, testing, and Certificate of Compliance. We work to your build programme across both stages so inspections and handover aren't delayed.

🏘️ Duplexes & Townhouses

Multi-dwelling construction requires careful load planning, metering configuration, and separate compliance documentation for each tenancy. We've done it before and understand what your certifier needs at each stage.

🔧 Renovations & Extensions

Whether you're adding a second storey, extending at the rear, or reconfiguring an existing floor plan, we handle the electrical side of the build — integrating new circuits cleanly with the existing installation and managing any upgrade obligations that arise.

🍳 Kitchens

Dedicated circuits for ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, dishwashers, and refrigeration. GPOs positioned to align with your cabinetry and appliance layout — coordinated with your cabinet maker so the fit-off goes in cleanly the first time.

🚿 Bathrooms

Zone-compliant lighting, exhaust fan wiring, heated towel rail circuits, and shaver outlets — all installed to AS/NZS 3000 wet area requirements. We'll confirm the zone layout with you before rough-in to avoid costly relocations later.

🏡 Home Automation

Smart lighting, motorised blinds, multi-room audio, EV chargers, and security integration — pre-wired and installed at construction stage for a clean, future-ready result. Let us help you turn your home into a smart home.

🏢 Commercial Fitout & Refurbishment

Offices, retail tenancies, medical suites, and hospitality spaces — we handle the electrical side of commercial fitouts and refurbishments, from new circuits and data infrastructure through to LED lighting upgrades and switchboard modifications. Minimal disruption to operations where the site is partially occupied.

What Makes Us the Right Fit for Your Project

Building and renovating is stressful enough. Here's why project managers and homeowners keep calling us back.

01

We Show Up On Time

Scheduling a tradie around a build programme requires reliability. We commit to start dates and communicate early if anything changes — no day-before cancellations.

02

Transparent Quoting

Detailed, itemised quotes before work starts. You'll see exactly what's included — materials, labour, and any provisional allowances — so there are no invoice surprises at handover.

03

Clean Workmanship

We work in people's homes. We protect surfaces, clean up at the end of each day, and take pride in the quality of what's behind the walls — not just what's visible.

04

Compliance from Day One

Every job is installed to AS/NZS 3000 and NSW regulatory standards. We don't cut corners that create problems at inspection — or five years later.

05

Before & After Documentation

We photograph work at key stages — useful for your certifier, your insurer, and anyone who needs to work on the installation down the track.

06

Sydney Wide Coverage

We service all of Sydney — from the inner suburbs to the outer west, north, and south. Wherever your project is located, we can get there.

From First Call to Certificate

Here's the typical process for a renovation or new build engagement — straightforward from the start.

1

Initial Consultation & Scope

Call or email with your project details — stage of build, scope of electrical work, and your timeline. We'll ask the right questions to understand exactly what's involved before quoting.

2

Site Visit & Quote

For most renovation and new build jobs we'll visit the site to assess access, existing infrastructure, and any complexities. You'll receive a detailed itemised quote — no vague estimates.

3

Rough-In Stage

First-fix work completed before wall and ceiling linings. All cabling, conduit, and rough-in fittings installed to position. Inspection-ready documentation provided if required by your certifier.

4

Fit-Off & Testing

Once linings are complete, we return for second-fix — installing all fittings, switches, GPOs, and the switchboard. The system is tested and verified before energisation.

5

Certificate of Compliance

On completion you receive a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) — required by your certifier and essential for building insurance and future sale of the property.

We're Easy to Deal With — and That Matters on a Build

When you're coordinating multiple trades on a tight programme, the last thing you need is an electrician who creates problems. Here's what you can expect when you work with Saints Electrical.

  • No disruptions to your programme. We commit to start dates and communicate early if anything changes — so your sequence stays intact and your certifier doesn't get pushed out.
  • WHS compliant on every site. We operate under our own Safe Work Method Statements and carry full public liability and workers compensation insurance. No SWMS gaps, no site inductions held up waiting on paperwork.
  • Up to date with the latest technology. From smart home pre-wiring and EV charger infrastructure to LED driver compatibility and energy monitoring, we install what's current — not what's convenient. Your clients get a result that lasts.
  • Clear communication throughout. You'll hear from us proactively — not just when there's a problem. We let the builder know when rough-in is complete, when we need access, and when we're ready for the next stage.
  • Clean on site. We respect the work of the trades around us. We protect surfaces, clean up at the end of each day, and leave the site the way we found it.
  • Documentation ready when you need it. Certificates of Compliance, before-and-after photos, and test results — provided promptly and in the format your certifier expects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a licensed electrician for a renovation?
Yes. In NSW all electrical work — including any new wiring, circuit additions, switchboard work, or moving of outlets — must be performed by a licensed electrician. DIY electrical work is illegal and will void your home insurance. We carry Electrical Contractor Licence No. 399328C.
Will you work with my builder or project manager?
Absolutely. We're comfortable coordinating directly with builders and PMs, fitting our programme to the build sequence. Just introduce us at the start of the project and we'll handle the scheduling conversation from there.
My renovation is triggering a smoke alarm upgrade — what does that mean?
Under NSW legislation, certain classes of renovation work trigger a requirement to upgrade smoke alarms to interconnected photoelectric alarms. We assess this at the quoting stage and include the upgrade if required — you won't get a surprise from Fair Trading.
How far in advance do I need to book?
It depends on the scale of the project. For a straightforward kitchen or bathroom reno, one to two weeks' notice is usually sufficient. For a new build or major extension, we prefer to be in the conversation early — ideally before you're locking in your programme — so we can schedule both stages properly.
Can you provide a Certificate of Compliance for my certifier?
Yes — a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) is issued on completion of every job. This is a mandatory requirement under NSW Fair Trading rules and is what your private certifier or council inspector will request at occupation certificate stage.
Do you service the whole Sydney area?
Yes — we service the St George, Sutherland Shire, Inner West, and Eastern Suburbs regions of Sydney. These areas cover a broad sweep of residential and commercial construction activity, and we're well positioned to service projects across all of them. Construction and renovation jobs are scheduled in advance, which means we can plan our time efficiently across the region. If you're unsure whether we cover your specific area, give us a call — in most cases the answer is yes.
